A minumum of 2 Female players need to be entered per section to qualify for the Best Girl prize in that section.  A minimum score of 2.5 points is required to qualify for the Best Girl Prize.\n Prize Fund will be anno unced after round 3.\n Medals will only be presented to qualifying sectio n E and F players attending the prize giving which would be ±20 minutes after the last round per section.\n No items may be sold\, traded or dis played without the prior written consent of the organiser.\n The Organise r of the tournament and other tournament officials are not responsible for the safety or property of players or spectators\n The player/parent/guar dian gives consent for the player’s name\, surname\, gender\, race\, dat e of birth to be submitted to the rating agencies for the purposes of rati ng the tournament and the rating agencies displaying it on their respectiv e websites.\n The player/parent/guardian gives consent for photo’s to b e taken of the players during the tournament and to be published on our So cial Media pages.  Should consent not be given please notify us before t he tournament so that we can notify our photographers.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCovid – 19 Tournament Procedures\n\nTshwane Chess Tournament Guidelines are av ailable: HERE\n\n The Wearing of Masks will be compulsory for all player s.  Face Shields may be worn together with a mask that covers the nose  and mouth.\n Sanitising and Hand washing – All players will line up i n front of the playing hall keeping at least a 1m distance between each pl ayer at all times and their hands will be sanitsed before they are allowe d to enter the venue.\n Boards and pieces will also be sanitised before a nd during the tournament.\n Temperature Measurement Station – All play ers will report to a Temperature measurement station after their hands hav e been sanitised – Please arrive at least 60 minutes before the start t ime of the tournament to allow enough time for this.    Should a player have an elevated temperature he / she will not be allowed to play.\n Eac h player must have his / her own small bottle of hand sanitiser with him/ her at all times.\n Stringent Social Distancing measures must be followed at all times.  All players will be spaced 1 to 1.5 meters apart.  Play ers must also follow social distancing rules when entering and leaving the playing venue as well as when outside on the campus grounds.\n\nParents / Guardians \n\n All Parents / Guardians will have to wear Masks.\n No P arent will be allowed inside the venue.\n No spectators will be allowed i nside the playing venue.  When your game is completed you must leave the playing venue.\n\nBefore the Tournament:\n\nParents / Guardians are reques ted to check the symptoms of the player/ players for any of the following: \n\n Fever (Elevated temperature above 37.5 ºC)\n Dry Cough\n Shortne ss of breath\n Sore Throat\n Tiredness\n\nShould any of the above sympto ms be apparent\, parents/ guardians are requested to let us know immediate ly and to withdraw the player / players from the tournament for their own as well as the safety of the other participants.\n\nDisclaimer: The build ing and grounds of the School/Venue will always be a smoke and alcohol-fre e zone.
