EC Primary School Chess Challengers (Qualifier 1) the ultimate chess challenge for primary school students born in 2010 or later only! Hosted at Pinelands North Primary School. Registration is limited to 80 players only, enrol today!

Cost:

R200 for both U/13 and U/10 sections.

There are short breaks (5 – 10mins) between rounds.

Format:

This tournament is a Swiss competition of 6 rounds. This means that all players will play 6 chess games and won’t be knocked out of the tournament. The tournament is restricted to players 13 years of age or younger.

The time limit is 25 minutes + 5 seconds increment per player for the entire game.

Prizes:

Medals and chess books will be given for 1st Place, 2nd Place & 3rd Place in both U/13 and U/10 sections. The best female player wins a medal in both the U/13 and U/10 sections.

All participants receive an electronic participation certificate.
