Late entries may be accepted subject to payme nt of R50 late entry fee.\n A maximum of 250 players will be allowed to p articipate in the event.\n Registration to be made using the South Africa n Chess Hub website and payment to be made via PayFast or EFT.  A R25 adm inistration fee will be levied if a player request that his registration b e changed or requires a refund due to withdrawal from the event.\n Bankin g information will be emailed once the booking has been made. Booking is o nly confirmed once paid. Direct Encounter 2. Greater number of Victori es 3. Sonneborn-Berger 4. Buchholz\n\n3.       There will be no defa ult time in round 1\, however the Chief Arbiter may repair players after 5 minutes. Default time for rounds 2 to 6 will be 10 minutes.\n\n4.        Prize winners must be present at the awards ceremony to receive their prizes. Prize monies will be paid out within 4 days after conclusion of t he event. Prize winners will only qualify for one prize (highest amount).\ n\n5.       Appeal: An appeal shall be submitted in writing to the C A or TD within 15 minutes after the completion of the specific round in qu estion\, accompanied by a fee of R300 {which will be returned if the appea l is successful)\n\n6.       The LOC reserves the right to waive cri teria in all the sections or to cancel the event.\n\n7.       No spe ctators or parents will be allowed in the playing venues.\n\n8.        Once the players are done with a match\, and their results have been re corded\, they become “Spectators” and must leave the playing area imme diately.\n\n9.       Photographs will be taken during the event and the award ceremony. All players are deemed to allow publication of photogr aphs of them taken at the event by the organisers for publicity purposes u nless they inform the organisers otherwise.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nNOTICE TO PAR ENTS\n\n\n1.       The safety and well-being of all players outside of the Playing Hall remains the responsibility of the parents of the playe rs.
