The Le Chevalier June Championship is a hybrid tournament with both an online knock-out round and an open-air OTB finals.
The tournament is open to players of all ratings, experience levels and ages.
The top 20 players from the online knock-out round (11 June 2022 at 10am) proceed to the OTB finals on 25 June 2022.
The OTB finals are played at the prestigious Pont de Val Winery with cash prizes going to the top 3 players. Entrance fee to the venue is complimentary for finalists.
Game formats:
Online knock-outs: Blitz 3+2 (Lichess)
Over The Board Finals: Rapid 10+5
Tournament Entry Fee: R150 per player
Finals will be held at Pont de Val Winery
Prizes: 1st Place: R7500 2nd Place: R3500 3rd Place: R1500
