No team may have more than one reserve. A reserve play er is optional.\n Since this is a Provincial Club event\, each participat ing team must represent the club designated by its name.\n Every particip ating club must be in good standing with their regional body and the A let ter of good standing may be requested at any stage after a team has regist ered for the event. Failure to present such a letter of good standing may lead to immediate disqualification from the event\, subject to the discret ion of the LOC.\n Appeal: An appeal shall be submitted in writing to the CA or TD within 30 minutes after the completion of the specific round in question\, accompanied by a fee of R300 (which will be returned if the app eal is successful).\n The LOC reserves the right to waive criteria in all the sections or to cancel the event.\n Default time of 15 minutes for ea ch round will be applicable.\n\nTIME CONTROL\n\n 60/60 + 5 secs per move (60 minutes per player + 5 seconds per move from move 1 to complete the ga me).\n\nTIEBREAKS\n\n Match Points\n Game Points\n Direct encounter\n Buchholz Cut 1\n Buchholz\n Sonneborn-Berger\n\nTEAM COMPOSITION\n\n Te ams will consist of 4 players and 1 reserve.\n Teams are not obliged to i nclude a reserve\n Players must play in the board order as indicated on t he entry form. Any player who plays out of his/her board order sequence wi ll have his/her game defaulted.\n If a team member is not present at the start of the round\, there will be no shifting of players up from lower bo ards.\n For each team\, the board order sequence should be ranked from th e highest rated player to the lowest rated player as per Chessa or FIDE ra tings.\n The reserve player (if used) may only play on the bottom board ( 4th board). All other affected players will shift up one\n Reserve player s may only play for one team\, e.g. a player cannot be a reserve for the A - team and be on board 1 for the B-team.\n In order to qualify for a boar d prize\, a player must play at least 4 games.\n Only players who have re gistered before the deadline will be allowed to participate.
