Calling all junior chess enthusiasts! The Cape Town Chess Federation Junior League is officially open to all players under the age of 18 from Western Cape clubs, schools, and organisations. Whether you’re rated or unrated, this is your chance to be part of something truly special.

This standard-rated event will run over 9 rounds, offering not only Grand Prix points but also the perfect opportunity for unrated players to earn their ratings and gain valuable tournament experience. The Cape town Junior League is a Chessa rated event.

We are especially committed to growing female participation and fostering a supportive space where all junior players can compete, improve, and enjoy the game.
