I tried applying and tried almost all the payment methods and still i did not have any luck, it kept on saying “couldn’t process your payment” for hours i tried with my capitec card. For future purposes please leave an option where there are Banking details, where people can deposit money to and come with the receipt as proof of payment
Well we have had the option to make an EFT payment for well over a year. The booking form very clearly asks whether you want to pay by Payfast or EFT – if you were having difficulty with Payfast you could have easily selected the EFT payment option.
By simply selecting the EFT option the booking system will automatically send you an email with the banking information and instructions for sending proof of payment to events@chesshub.org.za. Once this is done, booking is usually approved within 24 hours and you will receive the booking confirmation email.
I did not receive any email (with payments information) from “events@chesshub.org.za”.
Kindly check your junk or spam mail folders – you can also search for “Pending Booking” in your emails as this is the subject line.
Should you still not find the email, please WhatsApp 083 461 8742.
How to pay ?
When selecting the EFT payment method, you will receive a Pending Booking email which contains the banking details as well as instructions to send proof of payment.
If you do not immediately get the email, please check your junk or spam mail folders.
If you still have challenges, kindly email events@chesshub.org.za for assistance.
Please forward your banking details
Thank you for payment.
For benefit of others who may read this, the banking details are provided in the Pending Booking email that is sent when you make a booking using the EFT payment option.
I am not sure what section Jonathan must play in as he is still 7 years old.
My apologies for the delay in responding.
In terms of the tournament brochure the following applies which technically means he could play in both the under 8 and D section:
– D Section: Chess SA rating below 800. No adults.
– U8 Section: Player born in 2016 and later
As there is a specific under 8 section I would think it is appropriate to play there.
