Online Summer Chess Camp (PLUS music lessons)

WHERE

• Online on Zoom

LEVELS

BEGINNER: 0 – 1000 Chess SA rating. (Class C)

• No chess knowledge needed
• This level covers the rules of chess PLUS important chess strategy every chess beginner must know.

INTERMEDIATE: 1000 – 1400 Chess SA rating. (Class B)

• Your child should know how the chess pieces move, how to castle, and checkmate
• This level covers powerful chess tactics and builds the skills necessary to successfully win chess games

ADVANCED: 1400 – 1800 Chess SA rating. (Class A)

• Your child should understand multiple tactics and checkmate strategies
• This level covers advanced tactics, planning and strategic thinking, leading to confidence in creating a plan from any chess position.

CHESS TOURNAMENTS

• After every group class training is finished, they’ll be a chess tournament played online on Lichess, for the kids to use what they have learnt.

TIMES

• All day: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• AM Only: 9:00 a.m. -12:45 p.m. (beginners and intermediate lessons)

MUSIC LESSONS

• Guitar and Piano lessons during lunch time
• 1pm to 2pm

FEES for all 3 days.

• All day: R450
• Half day: R275
