We are proud to announce that chess has officially been added as a featured sport at the prestigious Six Gun Grill Summer Sports Festival, taking place in December 2025 at Huguenot High School, Wellington.
Chess will take centre stage on Monday and Tuesday, 08 and 09 December 2025 with a team and individual rapid tournament, bringing together sharp minds and fierce competition from across the country!! Schools, clubs and individuals are encouraged to register early to secure their place!!
The Six Gun Grill Summer Sport Festival is a celebration of tomorrow’s heroes today, set amidst the picturesque landscapes of Wellington, South Africa. This action-packed, festival kicks off the pre-season in style, offering school athletes, coaches and schools the chance to hone their skills and set new goals for the upcoming school sports season.
