REGISTRATION
STEP 1:
Ensure that you are logged into your SA Chess Hub account. Carefully read the event details and register below. You just need to register once to make a booking for a whole family.
STEP 2:
You will now receive an email to notify you that you have made a booking. Please follow the steps on the email to
go to www.lichess.org.
STEP 3:
Make sure that you have joined the teams for primary school and high school.
STEP 4:
Sign up for the tournament according to your age group.
STEP 5:
You are done! You will receive an email a day before the tournament to remind you to sign up for the tournament
but this can be done beforehand.
All entries close on 23 February 2021 at 17:00.
FAIR PLAY
• Pairings are done as per Lichess.org pairing system and all regulations in respect to using computer assistance
will be strictly monitored.
• Please ensure that you have a good Wi-Fi or Internet connection on the day of the tournament to ensure that
your tournament experience is a pleasant one.
• ‘Kid mode’ on Lichess is compulsory for all players under the age of 16 years old.
• Any person found guilty of cheating will forfeit their place in the rankings and will be banned from participating in future events.
• The organisers reserve the right to cancel or reschedule this event should they consider this necessary.
• A 24-hour pre-event anti-cheating inspection will be conducted before the tournament starts.

Can someone please assist me. In registered on 19 February already. I did not receive an email with the link in. How do i join the tournament now? Its almost time to start?
The reason you did not get an email is because I cannot see that you registered for the event. I registered on the website and did not register for the actual event. Did you follow all the steps in the brochure?

Hi Sipho – please be advised that you did not follow the instructions to register for this event which were clearly communicated in the brochure and above – there were multiple steps to register. You only completed step one and created a profile on SA Chess Hub. You failed to register for the actual tournament and thus did not receive the links. You cannot leave it to the last day and expect to play. I am sorry for you but please follow all the steps for the next round.

The tournament is played on Lichess. I tried searching the Lichess username you provided and there are no users on Lichess by that name. You must have a Lichess account to play in the tournament.
