1. The tournament will be a 7 round Swiss tournament on the Tornelo platform.
2. Time control is 15 / 15 + 10 seconds increment per move
3. Pairings will be done using the Tornelo system
4. 1^st round Starts at 9.00 am sharp
5. There are 3 sections:
   a. A Section 1600+ (Chess SA rating)
   i.  Prize money      1st R 1000   2nd  R 500      3rd  R 200
   b. B Section 1100 – 1599+  (Chess SA rating) and unrated adults
   i.  Prize money      1st R 200
   c. C Section Below 1100 (Chess SA rating) and unrated Juniors
   i.  Prize money      1st R 100
6. All players must be logged into Tornelo no later than 8.45am
7. Players must not log out of the tournament and must be committed to play all 7 rounds.
8. Players must not get aid of any sort – we expect fair play from all players and to use their own ability. Cheating is monitored by Tornelo The Fide sanctions for cheating or breaching the “Fair Play Policy” are:
   a. Revocation of titles and sport results.
   These sanctions could be enforced by Chess SA and we will report any suspicious behaviour. PLAY FAIR
     –  No computer assistance is allowed and will be strictly monitored.
   –  Any person found guilty of cheating will be banned from participating in future events.
   –  The organizers reserve the right of admission to this event.
   –  The organizers reserve the right to cancel or reschedule this event should they consider this necessary.
9. The tournament will be rated as an online tournament.
10. Entry closing date: 19^th February 2021 @ 17:00. No late entries will be accepted.
11. Entry fee is R60 per player. Payment is made through the SA Chess Hub booking platform via Payfast. Do not make payment to JHB Metro Chess account.

Cut off for registration is 5 pm on Friday night (19^th February 2021). No late entries will be accepted.
