To celebrate the launch of the South African Chess Hub we will  be hosting a series of weekly tournaments on Lichess.org with weekly lucky draws for cash prizes on a Sunday.

NOTE:  You only need to register once to participate in all South African Chess Hub Launch Tournaments.

Taking part in these tournaments, each player earns the right to enter the random draw for a “Lucky Draw Ticket” which enable him/her to participate in the Weekly Prize Giving Lucky Draw on a Sunday. The player’s results in the tournaments (final place and number of points scored) are irrelevant for prizes purposes.

In order to have his/her participation confirmed in a tournament, each player is required to play the following minimum number of games per tournament type:

• Blitz (5+2) Arena: 5 games
• Rapid (10+0) Arena: 3 games
• Bullet (2+1) Arena: 10 games

In each tournament, “Lucky Draw Ticket” will be distributed randomly (by random number generator) to 10% of the total number of confirmed players, rounded up to the highest whole number, but to at least 3 players.

The distributing procedure will be performed by a South African chess streamer during a live broadcast.  Broadcast schedule to be published on the Facebook page of the South African Chess Hub (https://www.facebook.com/SAChessHub/).

The list of “Lucky Draw Ticket” winners will be published on www.sachesshub.org.za and the Facebook page of the South African Chess Hub (https://www.facebook.com/SAChessHub/).
